TESTIMONIALS Why our clients love working with us Our experience with Ashley Asian Art has been positive in all respects. Ashley’s formal education and engagement with fellow appraisers are evident in her resume and our exchanges by e-mail and phone flowed smoothly. Questions posed reflected her expertise and knowledge of the nuances that would impact the value of the objects we commissioned her to appraise. We were very pleased with our cordial and enlightening conversation and with the written report that was generated soon thereafter. We recommend this appraiser without reservation. Robert and Elizabeth P. Appraisal Clients The American Society of Appraisers first recommended Ashley to me this year. Following that, Ashley provided a comprehensive appraisal to a very high, professional standard. All of the key information we discussed was included and all of my follow up questions were answered in detail. I won't hesitate to use her services again for any of my future art needs. Gary R. Appraisal Client I highly recommend Ashley as an art advisor and appraiser! She is an experienced Buddhist art specialist who in particular has deep knowledge in Buddhist art. She is dedicated and meticulous with strong research skills. She is extremely passionate about the subject and has provided me with invaluable insights about Asian art. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a curious newcomer, Ashley’s expertise will enrich your understanding and appreciation of Buddhist art! Shreya S. Advisory Client Ashley assisted me with a substantial insurance appraisal consisting of Asian art and various household objects. I’d never had my items insured before, so I really appreciated her expertise, efficiency, and guidance through the process. I will definitely ask her for help again the next time I need anything appraised! Colin C. Appraisal Client Ashley showed me around the museums in London and introduced me to the auction houses and the world of art. She is really knowledgeable and very good at explaining things to a non specialist. Helen S. Advisory Client Ashley has rigorous research skills and a strong work ethic. It is always a pleasure to work with someone as professional, ambitious, and meticulous, yet thoughtful as Ashley. Her academic background is impressive, and her extensive knowledge of Buddhist art adds tremendous value to her analyses. Ashley is consistently thorough as she evaluates a piece's historic context, religious significance, and noteworthy aesthetic details. Anon. Appraisal Client After having traveled to London many times before, I wanted a much more authentic experience. I chose to see the highly renowned V&A. Ashley’s knowledge of the Asian art exhibits was extensive. She was able to inform me about everything from the very minute detailing of how ceramics were made and put together to broader context of the historical periods that each piece of work was made in. Ashley has a comprehensive knowledge that is above and beyond what I’ve seen in this sector of the art world. Anon. Advisory Client I was extremely pleased with the results. I needed an appraisal done for insurance purposes and the level of detail about each of my antique furniture pieces was thorough and very helpful in my being able to get the highest amount possible from my insurance company for the antique items that were damaged. Ashley was my appraiser and from the finished appraisal report I could see that she spent time making sure that the information she included was correct and current for my antique furniture items in the current market. Paige E. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow The quality of the appraisal was exceptional and completed by a very qualified appraiser. I provided as much detailed information as I had available including correspondence with the furniture manufacturers, photos, videos, and similar items available online. The report they provided was exactly what was needed. Thanks for the fantastic service. Neil F. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow They were prompt, thorough, and provided all their impressive credentials of expertise. I highly recommend them. Nicholas F. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow I would recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a thorough, reliable and professional appraisal. It was a pleasure to meet her in person in London. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge and professionalism, providing thorough and accurate valuations on multiple valuations, and I thank her for her kindness and patience. You can feel her genuine enthusiasm for art on every page of the report – something that is hard to find these days. If you need an appraisal that combines world-class scholarship with personal care, look no further. This was, without a doubt, the best appraisal experience I have ever had. Albert B. Appraisal and Specialist Research Client Recently, our family had to make a move and needed to get an appraisal for a Chinese style moon bed from Bali. Our family has had it since the 90's and enjoyed it. However, it was time to find a new owner. I checked on reputable appraisers and Ashley's name came up. I checked it out and found her expertise to be impeccable and matched exactly what I needed. She provided me with a timely appraisal report based on pictures of our bed. As a result, I was able to post the bed and had a buyer the next day who happened to have lived in Bali and loved this type of furniture. I would highly recommend contacting Ashley Innes if you have Asian art that needs the expertise of an appraiser. Jacquelyn P. Appraisal and Advisory Client I engaged Ashley for a large estate appraisal and would highly recommend her, both as an Asian art specialist and as a generalist appraiser. She was not only highly skilled for this assignment, but was also professional, discreet, and empathetic during this very difficult time for our family. Thank you, Ashley, for all of your help! Lee C. Appraisal Client Ashley is one of the rare Asian art specialists who can effortlessly balance academic knowledge and market expertise, even with the trickiest of objects! She has guided me through countless projects over the past four years and I would highly recommend her advisory services. James I. Appraisal Client Ashley is not only deeply knowledgeable about Asian sacred and decorative art; she is also a skilled and trustworthy professional who conducts thorough research and adheres to the highest standards of ethics. I always love learning from her during guided museum tours (most recently the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, where she educated me on the evolution of the Buddha’s portrayal in sculpture) and conversations about the art market! Helen L. Advisory Client I am pleased to wholeheartedly recommend Ashley for anyone seeking exceptional expertise in Asian Art and Buddhism, as well as targeted research and appraisal work. We had the great fortune of discovering someone in London who possesses an extensive range of knowledge and professionalism. Ashley's dedication and proficiency in the field of Asian Art and Buddhism were evident throughout our project. Moreover, her attention to detail and strong organizational skills ensured a seamless experience. Anon. Advisory Client Professional, first class deliverables -- especially considering that that the appraised assets are extremely complex financial assets with little by way of comps. David T. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow Very thorough and professional — great communication and outstanding service. Highly impressed with their work! Curt B. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow The appraisal was done very well. Being that the artist was local to here in Charleston SC, they studied and reviewed Jim Booth’s art. His work has made him extremely famous, but an appraisal is a difficult one to do. They did a superb job and showed me how they came up with the appraisal. Lonnie L. Appraisal Client for a project provided for AppraiseItNow

Learn about Ashley Asian Art, a specialist Asian art appraisal firm offering expert USPAP-compliant appraisals, research and advisory services. ABOUT ASHLEY ASIAN ART Independent USPAP-compliant appraisals, collection management, and specialist research in Asian art Request a Consultation Ashley Asian Art is a leading appraisal firm offering USPAP-compliant appraisals , collection management , and specialist research to clients around the globe. Ashley Innes founded Ashley Asian Art while living between the US and UK and discovering the lack of USPAP-compliant appraisers available in Europe and knowledgeable in both markets. We serve a range of clients globally, including private and institutional collectors, fellow appraisers and researchers, insurance companies, estates, museums, and galleries. As one of the only USPAP-compliant appraisal businesses in the region, we are particularly well-placed to assist clients based in the UK and Europe. Although Asian art and musical instruments will always be our first loves, we are also experienced in many other areas of art and personal property. Learn more about our specialities Explore About our logo Ashley Asian Art's logo (designed by the talented Cynn Wang ) emphasizes our passion for Buddhist art. Ashley's favorite Buddhist figure is Avalokiteshvara, Mahayana Buddhism's most popular deity, whose values of compassion, protection, and forgiveness have been widely celebrated since the first anthropomorphic Buddhist art appeared during the Kushan Dynasty two millennia ago. Avalokiteshvara is recognizable with an elevated headdress, often showing a seated Buddha Amitabha at the center. For this reason, our logo features a Buddha Amitabha sitting in the "headdress" of the A, which represents Avalokiteshvara.
