About Ashley Asian Art

Ashley Asian Art  is a leading appraisal firm offering USPAP-compliant appraisals, collection management, and specialist research to clients around the globe. Ashley Innes (née Crawford) founded Ashley Asian Art after living between the US and UK and discovering the gap of Asian art specialists who are knowledgeable about both North American and European appraisal practices and art markets. Our mission is to address this gap. We serve a range of clients globally, including private collectors, fellow appraisers and researchers, insurance companies, art galleries, and museums.

Although Asian art will always be our first love, we are also experienced in many Western art subjects and general personal property. You can learn more about our specialities here.

About the Ashley Asian Art Logo

Ashley's favorite Buddhist figure is Avalokiteshvara, Mahayana Buddhism's most popular deity, whose values of compassion, protection, and forgiveness have been celebrated in Asian art since the Kushan Dynasty. Avalokiteshvara's main physical attribute is a small, seated Buddha Amitabha in the figure's headdress. For this reason, Ashley Asian Art's logo features an A (representing Avalokiteshvara) with a Buddha Amitabha sitting in the upper part. Many thanks to the very talented graphic designer Cynn Wang for her beautiful design!
